The North Ayrshire Museum is the main local authority museum in the area. It is housed in an old Parish Church dating from 1744.
Changing displays and exhibitions of the area's social history, archaeology, transport and culture are shown.
There is a local history research section where visitors can browse through photographs, maps and books.
A small shop offers a
selection of local history books and postcards.
