Exhibition Catalogue:
Henry Moore, Sculptor at Work

In 1990 the City of Glasgow was the Cultural Capital of Europe.  As part of the celebrations, several of Moore's large bronze pieces were exhibited in the landscape around the Burrell Art Gallery. 

This event was paralleled by an exhibition of Moore's prints and a number of "working models" organised by the South West Galleries Association in collaboration with the Henry Moore Foundation.  The exhibition included the draped reclining figure owned by Kyle and Carrick District Council.

The exhibition was presented in Milngavie, Paisley, Ayr, Kilmarnock, Greenock and Dumfries.  The exhibition was curated jointly by Elizabeth Dent (Lillie Art Gallery), Mike Bailey (Maclaurin Art Gallery) and staff of the Henry Moore Foundation.

The exhibition catalogue was designed and produced by Mike Bailey.  It included essays by John Mitchison and Mike Bailey.

Sculptor at Work was the final contemporary art project for the South West Galleries Association
