Liz Brown has, since 1996, been perfecting the techniques of hand felting. Incorporating her passion for original and practical design with the ancient techniques of felting, she creates some of the most visually stunning and wearable clothing available. Liz is particularly interested in using sustainable native wools in her work.

She has a Studio in Ochiltree, Heartfelt Studio and regularly has exhibitions of local artists work there.

Heartfelt Studios is open on Wednesdays or by appointment.

Liz’s skills and passion for creating wonderful and unique design is shared openly in her teachings from Nursery children to retirement groups. She has worked on several residencies around Scotland and teaches in many countries, including Mongolia , Ireland and Norway.

She is also a yurt keeper with the Scottish storytelling yurt and often shares skills with other local makers. Felt weave has been launched this year, a combination of willow and wool skills with local wood and willow artist Geoff Forrest.
