Artist Directory
The main directory page holds one key image and 3 thumbnail images. You also have a page which display are larger scale version of each image, making a total of five pages in a typical directory entry. There must be a description of the work shown in each image for inclusion in the table on your webpage.
You should submit 4 images. They can be in any size but the minimum for the large scale section is 600 pixels width or 600 pixels height. Images can be any common format (JPEG is preferred but TIFF, BMP PNG and GIF are also acceptable) Images will be adjusted to the standard sizes for display. Your original images will be stored in an accessible format. Images may be any resolution up to 300dpi.
On the website, the key images is resized or cropped to a width of 300 pixels and the 3 thumbnail images are resized or cropped to a width of 140 pixels.
Clicking the mouse on any image in the directory page will show an enlarged version of that image.
You should also submit a personal profile and contact details.
In submitting your material you are agreeing that Ayrshire Arts Network may exercise editorial judgement in the presentation of the material and that you are authorising reproduction where you are the copyright holder of the image. If your images are the work of another photographer you should ensure that you have permission from the copyright holder to reproduce the material.
The example below shows a typical layout. Where your art form is literature or poetry, you may submit examples. The literature pages are displayed in a different format, to allow reproduction of more text.
