Alistair Paterson is an Ayr-based poet, creative writing tutor and
creativity coach/trainer.
Registered on the Scottish Book Trust's Writers' Register, he is
available to facilitate creative writing and poetry classes, courses,
workshops, field trips and retreats the length and breadth of the UK. He
is the tutor-in-residence at Borders Bookshop in Glasgow, where weekly
classes and monthly workshops take place. His work takes him into the
corporate, voluntary and public sectors; 'special needs' contexts and
schools.
His creative collaborations have taken the forms of text/image-based
exhibitions with Scottish and French artists with the now-disbanded
Glasgow arts group, Open Circle; with the stage-based performance art
group, Throwing Poems; and artist book collaborations with French
artists, Bertrand Bracaval and Robert Pillard-Valere.
Another artist book is currently being prepared with Bracaval in France,
and he is preparing text-image work with Edinburgh-based textile artist
Lynn Wilson for future exhibition.
